Description
Apply for this brilliant opportunity to work towards a Level 3 qualification as a Teaching Assistant! Here at Durham Trinity School we are a Sports College, providing an excellent provision that develops pupils’ physical skills and mental wellbeing, educating them about leading a healthy lifestyle, whilst having fun!
Gain valuable experience working with 2-19-year olds whilst studying on day-release at New College Durham.
You will support teachers in schools by planning and preparing for lessons, developing professional relationships, encouraging positive behaviour and assessing learning.
You will be working alongside teachers in the workplace, learning about schools as organisations and how they can further their learning once qualified.

Teaching and Assessment
You will be expected to complete written assignments for each unit, as well as reflective accounts and professional discussions, and be observed in the workplace by an Apprenticeship Skills Coordinator.
Once you have completed the diploma, along with the certificates for maths and English, you will enter Gateway for End Point Assessment (EPA). This will be an observation in the workplace, carried out by an independent assessor from the awarding organisation, and then a professional discussion around a portfolio of evidence.

32.5 hours a week.
