Factory Operatives
England’s premier carpet weaver has been based on the same site in Wilton for over 300 years and currently has a number of different trainee Factory Operative vacancies.
The work is varied and full on-the-job training is provided. We have a competitive starting rate of £21,450 (£11 per hour) with an automatic pay increase within the first 6 months to £21,840 and average salaries of £26,000 in the Weaving section. Night shift work attracts a 40% premium and overtime a 50% premium.
Employees are entitled to a 20% discount on all floor coverings after 6 months of employment and clothing is provided.
The successful candidates will work 37.5hrs over two shifts in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Shifts are 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, with night shift worked on a voluntary basis.
Applicants will undergo a colour-blindness test and must live within the local area.
