1. Communication skills

Position requires communication skills to create partnerships, adapt to any situation, and to ensure that managers are informed of important information in a timely manner.

Liaise with many stakeholders, and being able to disseminate and absorb communication and information is a necessity.

2. Time management skills

The ability to organize and plan how to smartly divide time between specific activities is a key Administrative assistant skill. Administrative assistant is not just responsible for their own time, but for managing the time of their senior managers to enable them to complete their business duties.

3. Strong organizational skills

Organizational skills are a top priority for Administrative assistant. Organization is second nature to them, and they have a high level of adaptability to be able to adjust schedules according to shifting business priorities. They’ll also know how to organize the perfect filing systems, databases, and always have the right email template on hand.

4. Ability to multitask

Provide administrative support, but they also act as a diary scheduler and memorizer, must answer phone calls as and when they come in, and deal with scheduling meetings -- often all at the same time.

Multitasking is a skill that all Administrative assistant must be able to master to deal with competing priorities and administrative tasks.

5. Attention to detail

Should be able to scrutinize and plan everything in minute detail. For example, when making travel arrangements, Administrative assistant is able to plan business accommodation and transport while taking into account travel expense policies alternative routes -- even down to accommodating dietary requirements when making restaurant reservations.

6. Bilingual & Applications

A bilingual admin assistant should be fluent in Arabic & English by the mean of written, spoken, and typing of formal letters in both languages.

Deal with administrative work in more than one language. Play an important role in international communication amongst businesses.

Use of computer skills in a variety of applications eg., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Calendars, Zoom, Outlook, etc., is essential.

7. Culture

The Administrative assistant should have an extensive, strong knowledge of major elements of Arab culture which are the language, norms, values, beliefs of a society and traditions.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications: -

Fluent (Writing & Speaking) Arabic & English

University’s Degree

Excellent IT skills

Previous working experience with Embassy is an added qualification.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £2,700.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • London, SW1X 7JU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
