We are looking for experienced Night Care Assistants to work permanent night shifts within our facilities at Torr Home, particularly in our two dementia units, the Glentor Centre and the Belltor unit. Torr Home prides itself on providing high quality nursing, residential and respite care for over 60 residents within its own glorious, private grounds.
We are looking for Health Care Assistants with preferably at least 2 years experience in care to join our committed team. However, we are willing to offer training to those individuals that may be looking for a change in career, as long as you can show us the enthusiasm and commitment that we look for in our staffing team. We strive to provide the best care we can for the residents at Torr Home and we are looking for Care Assistants that will work hard to achieve this level. In return for your commitment and experience we offer a competitive wage, free uniform and DBS expenses met by Torr Home.
There is some flexibility with shift patterns and the details of this will be discussed with those applicants invited to interview with our Matron.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Providing personal care for the residents of the home
- Food and fluid assistance throughout the shift
- Following the policies and procedures already in the home
- Working well within a team in an often busy environment
- Attending training when required as well as completing mandatory online courses
- Communicating with other professionals, staff and visitors to the home
The successful applicants will need to undergo a DBS check paid for by Torr Home and provide 2 satisfactory references.
The pay starts at £10.58 per hour for those without an NVQ but enhanced hourly rates for NVQ 2 and above are available. We pay time and a third on Saturdays, time and a half on Sundays and enhanced rates for overtime and Bank Holidays.
