Mahogany Strides Care Services are currently recruiting support workers wishing to work towards gaining their NVQ/QCF level 3
Or experienced NVQ/QCF Level 3 qualified Children's Residential Support Workers for our two-bedroom therapeutic children’s home in Kidderminster that specialises in caring for Children and Young People, aged between 8 -17.
As part of the time, you will receive clinical supervision, training and play an instrumental part in making a positive difference to vulnerable children and young people in our care.
Requirements and Duties for a Children’s Residential Support Worker:
- Must be willing to work towards Level 3 Diploma (NVQ) for Residential Childcare (England), Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce or an equivalent
- have a Level 3 Diploma (NVQ) for Residential Childcare (England), Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years working with children in care is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
- Willingness to develop clinical practice skills
- The successful candidates will be working directly with service users and will be required to work on a rolling rota system which will require the applicant to work weekends and bank holidays.
- Administrative work and record keeping associated with the running of an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home.

- Promoting and Encouraging children and young people to achieve their goals.
- Involved in a variety of fun activities, swimming, cinema, holidays, outdoors, ballet, football etc.
- Maintain effective communication and consult with service users and professionals whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
All job roles within the company will be subject to a satisfactory DBS along with satisfactory references from your previous employers.
